I've been playing for 15 years but things really started to happen when I studied jazz/funk/blues for three years under Dave Bitelli and Jean Toussaint at Southampton University, performing in modern jazz/neo-soul bands, an Afro-beat band and playing club nights outside of Uni. After graduating I dedicated myself to playing professionally and have performed with jazz stars such as Soweto Kinch, Rocky Winslow (California), supported Grammy award winning artist David Murray and recorded my debut jazz album with my quartet, Arcades of London. Since then I play sax as a session musician in London, teach and I'm always keen to find exciting projects to play in. My next original project is with acclaimed pianist Gabriel Benn (Tuesday Born) with a full album release planned.

Previous Bands:

Arcades of London (Originals Jazz Quartet)

Ghost-note (Fusion/Neo-Soul)

Sea Slugs (14-piece afro-beat band)

Box Party (Function Band)

Bristol Uni Big Band (1st Tenor and flute)

Jungo Sound feat. Jonny Hamer

I have always loved the tone of the flute as a composer and it is a common doubling instruments for saxphonists so eager for a challenge I bought one three years ago and managed to luck my way into some free lessons with a really talented woodwind pro called Gary Branch. Those lessons combined with countless hours in front of the mirror almost passing out from hyper-ventilating gave me a solid grasp and feel for the instrument that means I can read intermediate music and lay down some lines on a track or when trying to find a melody for a composition.
